Dachstein - Glacier
»Simply everything« that’s what the Dachstein has to offer, from gentle nature encounters along countless hiking paths, to the »Johann«, a daring fixed-cable climbing trail on the south face of the Dachstein with its 1,000 m vertical drop. The gondola lift makes the Dachstein glacier a popular excursion area for everyone: an opportunity to enjoy hiking, climbing, superb views and glorious nature, skiing, snowboarding and crosscountry skiing (even in summer). The breathtaking Skywalk, directly perched below the summit station, is a new attraction, as is the Ice Palace . |
Wild Waters
The adventure path „Wild Waters" (12 km) is an attraction for young and old. 14 boards along the path display the topic water and the living in previous days. At the end oft he Untertal Valley you reach the highlight of the theme trail: the „Alpine Trail through the Höll“ begins at the Riesach car park and leads along a series of trails, boardwalks and bridges alongside the Riesach Waterfall to the Gfölleralm on the shore of the Riesachsee. The Riesach Waterfall is the biggest in Styria and of course worth seeing. |
